Mindfulness

Tomorrow I am going to practice mindfulness. Oh, yeah, I figured out. The secret to happiness, that is. Mindfulness. Think about the times you are happiest. For me, I feel a sensation of bliss when I am leaving work. And in the morning on my day off. Why is that? Because of possibility. I have all the time in the world to do whatever I want. I feel bright and expansive. Or when I am mountain biking the trails. I feel free, light, fast, connected to nature. Focused only on the task at hand.

I have been dreading going in to work as of late. I'm sure you gathered from my last post that I was feeling unhappy. But the more I think over my options, the more I realize I am happy with my job. At the very least I cannot think of another job I would rather have. I have had a busy couple of weeks. But it's not always the case. I must remember the rewarding moments.

My goal for tomorrow at work: mindfulness on the task at hand. Relaxed, focused, expansive. A concentrated mind is a happy mind.
